Calvary Life Ministries (CLM) was established by Calvary Church in 1993, as a non-profit counselling and care organisation to address the emotional needs of people in our community. The Center provides counselling services to individuals (children, adolescents, adults, couples and families).
A broad range of mental health issues are addressed including depression, relationship problems, stress, anxiety, abuse, grief and difficult life adjustments. Fees are based on free will donations.
Our team is comprised of dedicated individuals who open their hearts to people from all walks of life regardless of race or religion.
CLM is a wonderful example of volunteerism: people helping people. In the last decade, we have helped more than one thousand people in our counselling center. In order to manage the large number of people, young and old, CLM has created a unique teaching and supervisory environment comprised of:
- Licensed counsellors who counsel and supervise
- Christian paraprofessionals / Lay counsellors who have a unique gift of empathy
- Post-graduate interns who are obtaining the required hours prior to licensing
CLM utilises volunteers to provide its services and operate the organisation. Our staff are trained Christian paraprofessionals who provide their time and skills. They are trained and supervised by consultants who are professionals in the field of Psychology, Counselling and Psychiatry.
